Prizes of the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition 2022

 

First Grand Prize

  • €15,000
  • A set of bows by Edwin Clément, Meilleur Ouvrier de France (valuedat €35,000)
  • A recording project for an album produced by Mirare anddistributed by Pias/Harmonia Mundi
  • An international tour over two years, organised by CLBManagement in collaboration with local partners Reiko Tanaka in Japan, Isabelle Bertoni in Italy, Claudia Fehland-Köster in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and Marie-Catherine Lapointe in Canada.
  • Henle Urtext Prize (scores)

 

Second Prize

  • €10,000
  • Four top-quality instrument cases donated by BAM Cases (valued at €3,400)
  • ProQuartet Prize: an invitation to a series of masterclasses to be chosen by the prizewinner (including teaching, accommodation and transport costs), and a concert in the ProQuartet season
  • Henle Urtext Prize (scores)

 

Third Prize

  • €5,000
  • An invitation for the quartet to the Saint-Jean de Luz/Ciboure Ravel Academy (including teaching and accommodation costs)
  • Henle Urtext Prize (scores)

 

Contemporary Work Prize

• €2,000

 

Young Listeners’ Prize (not awarded by the jury)

• €1,000

 

Audience Prize (awarded by the audience at the final)

 

Prizes will be awarded gross of tax-related charges.
